It's about that time again! On Thursday, September 8, ProShip will be hittin' the links with the SSADH Association to help raise awareness for some very special kids born with a rare neurotransmitter disorder called Succinic Semialdehyde Dehydrigenase Deficiency (SSADH). This year's event will be taking place at the Kettle Hills Golf Course in Richfield, WI.
ProShip has been supporting the Chip for Charity since it's inception, eighteen years ago. Over the years, the Chip for Charity golf outing has raised over $900,000 to support the important work of the SSADH Association. In November of 2015, the SSADH Association agreed to fund a one year research grant for $100,000 in conjunction with Boston Children’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School. The objective of this project will be to develop an in-vitro disease model of SSADH Deficiency that will support phenotypic drug screening in their efforts to find a cure for SSADH.
Additionally the SSADH Association has committed to financially support SSADH patients traveling from outside the United States to complete the SGS-742 Phase II Medication Trail at the National Institutes of Health in Washington DC.
We are grateful to our customers and vendors who have teamed up with us to help support this worthy cause that helps those struggling with this rare neurological disorder.
Chip for Charity 2016 will start at 10am and will be played in 4-member team best ball scramble style. There will be a $1,000 putting contest, a $100,000 shoot out, a fun happy hour, a silent auction, raffle prizes and much more!re grateful to our customers and vendors who have teamed up with us to help support this worthy cause that helps those struggling with this rare neurological disorder.
