KTR Corporation has selected ProShip’s CVP Automated Packaging Solution to be featured in the KTR360° 2018 Yearbook Guide, which reports on extraordinary projects and solutions that their products support throughout the year. The yearbook is a detailed look at true product innovations, guiding readers through the world of KTR’s customers. KTR is the leading manufacturer of high-grade power transmission technology, with over 1,100 employees worldwide, 23 subsidiaries and 90 sales partners. KTR produces several million couplings a year and offers solutions for a wide range of applications in various industries.

CVP Automated Packaging BrochureThe CVP Automated Packaging Solution is an in-line auto-boxer that measures, constructs, tapes, weighs and labels each order every seven seconds while creating a custom-fit parcel using only one operator. The auto-boxing technology utilizes various couplings from KTR’s ROTEX GS series that are installed in the axes. The diversely sized couplings are made from differing materials with varying shores of hardness to convey, cut, fold and seal corrugate. The couplings ensure reliable and precise positioning, helping to create fit-to-size boxes for variable-dimension single or multi-item orders.

ProShip’s auto-boxing technology generates highly-customized packages and optimizes all steps of parcel fulfillment while saving on labor, shipping and material costs. In one seamless process, retailers, e-commerce, manufacturing and third-party logistics (3PL) companies are all able to address key industry challenges, from supply chain labor shortages to increasing e-commerce orders. KTR’s case study highlights Lasaulec, a technical wholesaler who sells maintenance, repair and operating supplies to customers across The Netherlands. With the CVP Automated Packaging Solution, Lasaulec can auto-box 300,000 different items of varying sizes quickly and efficiently, while saving $150,000 to $200,000 a year in void fill. With the CVP, companies can see an immediate return on investment and stay ahead of the competition.
